To roll up a self-inflating mattress, the air inside needs a way out. The usual fix is to cut air channels lengthways through the foam. Brands don't tend to mention it, but wherever you lie over one of those channels, there's less foam holding you up.
RapidPack never gets rolled, so it doesn't need channels. Its foam is cut vertically in an accordion pattern that opens out when the pump fills it and folds flat when the pump empties it. The result is consistent support across the whole mattress, under your hips and shoulders as much as anywhere else.
At 15 cm thick, it feels more like a bed than a camping mat.
No rolling. No wrestling.
Turn the dial anti-clockwise and the built-in pump sucks the air out. Fold it in thirds, strap it and slide it into the bag. No kneeling on it to squeeze the air out, and no rolling it up three times to get it back in the bag.
It packs flat to 55 × 46 × 15 cm, about the size and shape of a pillow, so it stacks in the boot instead of rolling around in it.

Never stuck with a flat battery.
The battery pops out and charges by USB-C from a power bank, car charger or wall plug. One charge covers about 8 inflate and deflate cycles.
Flat battery? Swap in the battery from another RapidPack, or blow it up through the standard valve.
The battery also has a built-in light. Pull it out and use it as a torch in a dark tent.
